So, there I was, standing in the middle of a field, my caravan keys in one hand, a map in the other, and a look of sheer bewilderment on my face. I'd been driving for what felt like hours, following the winding roads of the English countryside, and now I was lost. Or so I thought. Turns out, I was exactly where I was meant to be - at the entrance of Far Grange Caravan Park Haven, just a stone's throw from the beautiful Norfolk coast.
You might be wondering, how did I end up here? Well, let me rewind a bit. I'd been craving a break from the hustle and bustle of city life, something that would allow me to reconnect with nature, breathe in some fresh sea air, and maybe even catch a glimpse of the Northern Lights (a girl can dream, right?). So, I did what any sensible person would do - I fired up my laptop, typed 'caravan holidays UK' into Google, and voila! Far Grange popped up, promising a peaceful retreat with all the creature comforts I could need.
First Impressions
As I finally managed to navigate my way into the park, I was greeted by a sight that was nothing short of charming. Rows of caravans stretched out before me, each one nestled amongst lush greenery, and all surrounded by a sense of calm that was palpable. I could already feel my shoulders relaxing, the tension from my journey melting away.
Must Read
Check-in was a breeze, with the staff at reception welcoming me with warm smiles and helpful tips about the park. They pointed me in the direction of my caravan, a cosy little home away from home that was just the right size for me and my trusty travel companion, a fluffy dog named Marmalade.
Exploring the Park
Over the next few days, Far Grange became our playground. We spent hours exploring the park's extensive grounds, with Marmalade leading the way, his nose twitching with excitement at all the new smells. We discovered hidden pathways that wound through the woods, leading us to secluded picnic spots where we could enjoy a packed lunch in peace.
Back at the park, there was no shortage of things to do. The indoor pool was a godsend on the few rainy days we had, with its warm water and fun slides providing hours of entertainment. And when the sun was shining, we made the most of the outdoor pool, complete with a lazy river that Marmalade was particularly fond of.
But perhaps the most enchanting part of Far Grange was the Haven's commitment to making sure everyone had a fantastic time. The entertainment team were everywhere, leading activities from morning till night, from arts and crafts to sports tournaments. And let's not forget the evening shows, which had Marmalade howling along to the music (much to the amusement of the other guests).

Beyond the Park
As much as we loved our little bubble at Far Grange, we knew we had to venture out and explore the wider area. And what an area it is! The Norfolk coast is a treasure trove of beautiful beaches, quaint villages, and delicious seafood. We spent a day at Great Yarmouth, enjoying the traditional seaside fun of the pier and the beach, before tucking into a feast of fresh fish and chips.
But our favourite day out had to be our visit to the Norfolk Broads. We hired a day boat and spent the day pottering along the waterways, soaking up the sunshine and watching the world go by. It was the perfect way to end our holiday, and a memory that I'll cherish for years to come.
Would I Go Back?
In a heartbeat. Far Grange Caravan Park Haven was more than just a holiday destination - it was a home away from home. A place where I could truly relax, recharge, and make memories that will last a lifetime. So, if you're looking for a break that combines the great outdoors with all the comforts of home, I'd highly recommend giving Far Grange a try. Just don't tell too many people - I want to keep it our little secret!
Until next time, happy holidays!
